The IWC Pilot’s Watch UTC 3251 was introduced in 1998. Compared to the contemporary ‘regular’ pilot’s watch, the Mark XV, it’s case was slightly larger, whilst the moment was upgraded to include a second time zone display in the form of a rotating 24-h disc. Up until 2003 the UTC was powered by caliber 37526; later versions feature the 30710 movement. ‘Spitfire’ versions, with more elaborate dials, were added to the line-up in 2005. Reference IW3251-10 has a Stainless Steel case and a Silver dial. This replaced the earlier Spitfire UTC around 2006.
