Collector’s Insight

This is what I’m talking about when it comes to watches from the 2000s. There were so many interesting and beautifully made watches during that period, and looking back today, I appreciate them even more.

The 7880 CC AT has that unmistakable Franck Muller Cintrée Curvex case, but adding a chronograph gives it much more presence and complexity. I especially like how the curved case, bold numerals and busy chronograph dial somehow still work together. It’s very much a design of its era, yet that’s exactly what makes it interesting today. Watches like this remind me why I enjoy going back and rediscovering pieces from the 2000s.
